Members of the 2025-2026 Stanislaus County Civil Grand Jury will be selected later this month and some local residents are among those who are in the running for the posts.

On Monday, June 30 at 8:30 a.m. in Department 24 of the Stanislaus Superior Court, Honorable Judge Sonny S. Sandhu will preside over the selection and swearing in of the 19 grand jurors who will serve on the 2025-2026 Civil Grand Jury. The selection list includes a total of 24 candidates, among them are Michael Eggener and Scott Hicks, both of Oakdale, and Jennifer Difuntorum of Riverbank. Other candidates are from the Stanislaus County cities of Ceres, Modesto, Patterson and Turlock.

The Civil Grand Jury members serve for one fiscal year, and all are required to attend a two-day training session sponsored by the California Grand Jury Association, a not-for-profit educational organization. The training this year is scheduled on July 10 and 11 in Modesto.
