Special Fourth of July parade set downtown
fourth

The Riverbank Parks and Recreation Department, in cooperation with the Love Riverbank committee, is organizing what they hope will become an annual celebration, a Fourth of July Bike Parade in downtown.

This year will feature the inaugural event, set to start at 930 a.m. on Friday, July 4.

The parade will begin at Plaza del Rio on Third Street and end at the Community Center Park.

Participants are invited to decorate bikes, strollers, wagons or scooters in a patriotic style. Spectators are encouraged to bring a chair and cheer on the parade entries as they make their way along the route.

Afterwards, everyone can head to the Gazebo at the park for summer treats, crafts for kids and fun for the whole family.

Registration is free and available on the LoveRiverbank.org website. Organizers wish to know how many attendees to expect and if you are interested in donating to help make the event a success, email [email protected] to get involved.
